Exhibit 2007

Project by Cie Stroud

For emerging entrepreneurs seeking
better portraits to better their business.

Focus: Philadelphia is an annual juried exhibition by the Philadelphia chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers, of which Cie is a member.

Entre Vue is a series of "after" portraits by Cie taken for the Focus: Philadelphia exhibition, here displayed with their "before" counterparts.

Opening Reception: Thursday, Jan. 24, 6 to 8pm
Solmssen Court, Dorance Hamilton Hall
The University of the Arts
320 S. Broad St., Philadelphia

The premise of Entre Vue project is that owners of emerging businesses typically spend their budget for marketing visuals on product photography or graphic design rather than on imagery of themselves, even if their product is their personal service.

Canned product art and graphics are less effective in establishing credibility with and winning new customers than photos that put the fresh faces of the emerging entrepreneurs in a professional light.

Although return on the investment of an executive portrait is not calculable, it is apparent.

The enterpreneurs Cie chose to photograph for Entre Vue
1) have been in business fewer than 7 years
2) employ fewer than 17 people
3) provide a service or produce a product that is innovative, "green" or charitable
4) operate a registered business within the city limits of Philadelphia

In return for sitting for a portrait, Cie gave each entrepreneur two high resolution files of their session for unlimited, non-transferable use.
